BookShrink may process information that you voluntarily provide while using the application. Depending on which features you use, this may include:
BookShrink may use your device camera when you choose to photograph pages, books, documents, or other material.
BookShrink may also access files that you explicitly select or share with the application, including images, PDFs, text files, HTML files, and supported archive formats.
BookShrink does not intentionally access photographs, documents, or other files that you have not selected for use with the application.
Many BookShrink operations may occur directly on your device. This can include image processing, local OCR, reading-position storage, bookmarks, application preferences, and other local functions.
Material processed only on your device does not need to be transmitted to BookShrink's servers merely because you use those local features.
Some optional BookShrink features use remote servers or third-party artificial-intelligence services. Examples may include Premium AI OCR, advanced text recognition, text correction, document analysis, or related cloud-assisted functions.
When you intentionally use one of these cloud-based features, the information necessary to perform that request may be transmitted to BookShrink servers and/or a service provider used to complete the requested processing.
Depending on the feature, transmitted information may include a page image, selected document content, extracted text, or other information necessary to provide the requested result.
BookShrink attempts to transmit only information reasonably needed to perform the feature you requested.
BookShrink may allow use without an account for certain features. Other features may require a BookShrink account.
If you create an account, BookShrink may retain information necessary to identify that account, maintain your available credits or entitlements, and provide account-related functions.
Certain cloud or premium functions may use processing credits. BookShrink may maintain records necessary to determine the number of credits associated with an account and the number of credits consumed.
Payment processing may be performed by Google Play or another authorized payment provider. BookShrink does not need to receive your complete payment-card number in order to recognize a completed purchase.

BookShrink does not sell your personal information.
BookShrink may share limited information with service providers only when reasonably necessary to operate the service or perform a feature that you requested.
Such providers may include hosting providers, cloud-processing providers, artificial-intelligence processing providers, payment processors, security providers, or other technical service providers.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, a valid legal process, or to protect users, BookShrink, or others from fraud, abuse, or security threats.
You remain responsible for the material that you photograph, import, process, store, or export using BookShrink.
BookShrink does not claim ownership of books, documents, photographs, text, or other content merely because you process that material with the application.
Some BookShrink information may remain stored locally on your device until you delete it, uninstall the application, clear application data, or otherwise remove the information.
Server-side account, transaction, entitlement, security, or processing records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain accurate records, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or meet legal requirements.
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information handled by BookShrink. However, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
BookShrink is not specifically designed to collect personal information from young children.
If BookShrink becomes aware that personal information from a child has been collected in a manner prohibited by applicable law, reasonable steps will be taken to remove it.
BookShrink may allow you to open, share, export, or read material using another application or service installed on your device.
Once information is intentionally transferred to another application or service, that application's or service's own privacy practices apply.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when BookShrink's features, technology, service providers, or legal obligations change.
The effective date shown at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
